As All Board Traders takes its second bat with Sandbox Version 2, we want to say thank you to all the testers and users who are helping us make the best trading platform for board enthusiasts.
But what does it mean for an app to be in a Sandbox Version? It means we are doing a public test to see if we need to change anything before we hit the big 'release' button. We want to know that the app works as intended first before it is too late to make significant changes.
Ok so we have the foundations for the new application set and are now looking to polish it to perfection. This is where we want to change our approach from conventional development to a more community centric approach. With your help, we can create something truly unique, functional, and most of all tailored to what you want most. This means opening the doors a little and providing transparency into the way we are making the application, and experimenting with new features.

The All Board Trader app has been rebuilt to better perform on modern devices and feature a sleeker UI. This rebuild was necessary to take a laser focus approach to making the trading process as accessible and secure as possible, removing anything that could potentially hinder the experience, instead of copying the marketplace apps we grew frustrated with.
Unlike algorithm based listings focused on search terms, we categorised everything to make it simpler to find what you actually want. When you sign up, you get the chance to choose what types of board sports equipment you would like to see on your main feed, which reduces the time it takes to find relevant listings. So if you are into surfing, your feed will show mostly surfing. If you are into two or three different sports, you can make sure your feed features all of them.
Previously we relied on search terms as the primary means of finding products within broad categories, which proved to be inefficient for buyers looking for something specific. With Sandbox V2, we created subcategories for specific equipment per category to ensure a more focused search experience. So if you are looking for skateboard trucks, or surfboard fins, you can narrow the search down to just that type of product.
Buyers can now visit your profile and see what other listings you have. But it isn't just for listing purposes, the new profile system includes the ability to add a profile picture, banner image, and a short bio to provide a little more info about your experience and involvement in the sports you love.
